About Opportunity Engines
Opportunity Engines (OE) aims to mobilize talent with innovative ideas to increase wages for workers with low incomes through job-training initiatives that use technology to help more people at scale.
Through the utilization, development, and application of new technological tools and models, OE works with organizations improving the training and placement of workers with low incomes.
A key initiative of OE is the Workforce Training Accelerator, a six-month program that
supports innovative, replicable, and technical workforce initiatives expand their reach to serve more low-income workers. The Accelerator aims to generate $150M in aggregate wage gains for over 25,000 low-income job seekers. During the six-month program, OE provides technical support to selected, innovative workforce initiatives to aid in the successful development and launch of new technological tools and models. The grantees will serve workers with low incomes directly, as well as partner with community colleges, workforce development boards, and other institutions to scale their innovations.
