As a Senior Recruiter on the Schmidt Futures team, you are mission driven, have a bias for action, and gain energy from embracing new challenges in an ever-changing environment.  You arrive each day excited to match exceptional talent with exceptional opportunities.  We are a lean team and client groups’ needs ebb and flow, so you’ll gain exposure to many parts of the organization. Your portfolio of roles will be incredibly diverse, spanning functions like Finance, HR, Operations, Communications, and Science and Technology.like Finance, HR, Operations, Communications, Science and Technology. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Be a thought leader, advocate and practitioner of an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand their organization and needs and perpetually refine their hiring processes (creating job descriptions, hiring plans, interview teams).
  • Source, engage and build trusting relationships with high caliber talent from various industries and backgrounds.
  • Track and report key metrics across open roles.
  • Present candidates and interview packets to C-Level executives
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes in order to create the ideal match of role and person.
  • Understand the market and come up with creative ways to connect with the right talent.
  • Work with HR to create offer packages and relay information to candidates.
  • Partner well with HR, Finance, Administrative and other colleagues.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have at least 6 years of work experience in a recruiting role.
  • Have demonstrated teamwork ability and record of impact in high-intensity, team-based environments.
  • Be proficient with applicant tracking systems and various sourcing tools (i.e., Lever, Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Have experience filling a variety of roles across multiple functions and levels.
  • Highest levels of personal and professional ethics and integrity and be able to maintain confidentiality at the highest levels.
  • Be based at the Schmidt Futures offices in New York and be able to travel within the U.S. and internationally on a regular basis as needed following company policy and permitting circumstances.
